I loved seeing all your creativity on FB with the adaptions you made to the titles of traditional Xmas Carols to include a bingo or 888ladies theme……however, that was just a warm up to our 888ladies’ ANNUAL XMAS CAROL COMPETITION!

Every year we ask our roomies to take traditional Xmas Carols or Xmas Songs and jazz them with an 888ladies flavour. We know that you all have creative talents and it could really get you LPs when you need them most!!

The current 888ladies’ Xmas Carol holder is alimac41 who composed this amazing Xmas Carol below that had me personally singing to myself well into the New Year until I was threatened by the HappyHourFairy to stop!!!

“Good King Wencelas was on the look out
For a game of bingo
He searched the net both high and low
He’d even learned the lingo
1TG and LOL, BRB and TY
And then a site just caught his eye

Here is a guide to what the Xmas Carols need to contain:

• They must be 888ladies/ bingo related
• They need a Title
• They must be at least 3 verses long – no rhymes or limericks
• They need to be to the tune of a traditional Xmas Carol or Xmas song
• They need to be ORIGINAL! Your compositions, no plagerism (I am looking at you mancgurl! )
• They need to be in by midday on Xmas Eve

The winners will be announced on Xmas Eve and the points will then by given straight away!

If took a while, but I finally tracked down Spamula, who GRABBED the very first Advent Calendar Prize on 1st December!!! This truly pink and proud 888lady was fully connected to the prize, an amazing Lappy all of her own!!!

I doubt whether I will speak to a bigger 888lady than Spam, if you cut her she would bleed 888ladies’ pink! It was  a real pleasure to speak to her after so long, we go back an awful long way in the chats! Here is my interview with Spammy, enjoy!:

Agent: So Spammy, what was it like to win and be the first winner of this year’s Advent Calendar?

Spamula: I couldn’t believe it! I was in Studio75 with CH Magpie, as I am sure you know, I live in there, I could get a mortgage….

Agent: LOL!

Spamula: Then CH Catty and Chocolady came in and I was gobsmacked! So pleased as my kids and my hubby all have laptops, I usually use his….now I have one all to myself!! YAY!

Agent: So what is the secret of your success and are you going for the Advent Calendar Prizes every day?

Spamula: Second question first ! I buy tickets every day for the Advent Calendar, I think that you have to have a go at every prize if you can, you need to buy a ticket to win a prize! I have a couple of secrets to winning though….Ironically, I find that the less tickets I have, the more chance I have of winning! I never really get more than 6 and that is usually enough for me! AND I got for special numbers, I usually get cards with a 1, 7 or 15 in them…

Agent: It’s funny that you should say that as the last winner of an Advent Calendar game, Pinkelarue, who won the car last year, said exactly the same thing. She got 5 tickets last Xmas and chose them all based on her family’s birthdays….there must be something in that….The last winner of the Advent Calendar last year and the first winner of the Advent Calendar this year!

Spamula: Wow! Really? I didn’t know that….

Spamula: Also, I tend to get tickets as I go along….every time I win a pot I pick up a ticket. That’s what I did with the lappy win! I had three and then I won and purchased one more…it could have been the winning one! I am doing the same for the car, I have 3 or 4 for that, so I will probably get a few more.

Agent: I know that you are a massive 888lady but what is the best thing about 888ladies for you?

Spamula: Everything! As you know I love chatting LOL and the bingo of course. All the CHs are part of the family now. I won £800 on the progressive Jackpot back in July and now I have won this, a lappy! And of course, I love my roomies!

Agent: Who are your favourites?

Spamula: Nanna (of cjnr), armo, they are a right laugh and LadyP of course!

Also I think that Glam (jules68) is great, kimi06, merrythought and JasonJ (1972) and of course my teamie xdebsterx! Kitykat is also my friend from work and is the reason why I joined. She was at work and told me thats she won the Progressive Jackpot and it looked fun, so I joined – I didn’t think that it would be so good!

I got the latest from your favourite, Chocolady, who got hold of patsymike, a newbie. In fact, she only signed up with 888ladies THAT VERY DAY – WOW!! Patsymike won £500 worth of Debenhams vouchers back in the first week of the Advent Calendar but as you will see below, she didn’t have a clue…..she just pre-bought her tickets and forgot about them. As with all prebuys, they played, and patsymike’s won!
