Hi Everyone

First let me take you back to how this lovely surprise happened.

I had cards for the play off for being one of the seventy five finalists with the most Sombrero Points, I played the game and was so pleased for armo when she won.

We were told to keep playing as there was going to be a draw for a second cabin. Never in a million years did I think that I would win the second cabin.

I remember that I had been on bingo all morning and had gone to do a bit of gardening with my son when chinagirl rang to say I had better get on bingo straight away as  I had won the second cabin. OMG! Total disbelief… this sort of thing never happens to me but it was true that I had!!

I rang my sister as soon as it had sunk in, who was on a day trip to Blackpool celebrating her birthday and told her the  good news and that I was taking her with me, I had promised her that if I did win that I would take her….I didn’t think for a moment that I would but I wouldn’t want to take anyone else.

I just had the pleasure to interview another great 888ladies’ winner and family member, ELVIS777.

On Monday 21st September, the day before the glorious day that is my birthday, ELVIS777 got very, very lucky and pulled out the maximum win possible on the £5,000 sliding Jackpot and it came just at the right time!

Agent: Hi Elvis, Congratulations on your big win!

ELVIS777: Hi Agent, thank you very much, I am so pleased, it came at just the right time for me!

Agent: Why is that?

ELVIS777: Well, I was a sole trader and had my own market stall selling all sorts: watches, bags, whatever the demand was, but because of the economic climate, I had to close it a couple of months ago.

Agent: Oh right, so what are you spending your £5,000 winnings on?

ELVIS777: I have paid some bills but actually I am using most of the money to start up a new business. I am going to be a ‘female gardener’, the emphasis is on female so I can appeal to people, mainly the elderly, who would prefer to have a woman, rather than a man, as their gardener.

Agent: Nice idea and that’s fantastic, the money has come at just the right time for you!

ELVIS777: Yes, it is hard enough to find a new career path, especially at the moment, but this will help a lot, buying new equipment, advertising and so on.

Agent: That’s great, good luck with that. By the way, how many tickets did you buy? Actually, I can tell you….

ELVIS777: I think I bought ten, I am pretty sure.

Agent: Actually, you bought twelve and it was the eleventh that won it for you!

ELVIS777: Really? Oh yes, I think on the day, I gor something through a chat game, I think that it was ‘Pick a Buddy’ and I got 1,000LPs and thought why not? I got a couple more tickets…

Agent: Wow! That is really lucky, you got the winning ones with your LPs!

ELVIS777: Yes, thank you to the person who picked me as their buddy!

Agent: So what do y0u like about 888ladies?

ELVIS777: I have been on a lot of sites, I don’t know if I should say that (LOL), and 888ladies is by far the friendliest site. There is a lot of bitchiness on other sites and cliques but 888ladies’ roomies are so friendly! LadyPenelope is a friend of mine on here now, she is lovely, so happy for her that she is going on the Bingo Cruise.

Agent: Yes, I think so too. We have a great 888ladies family here! Amazing roomies!

Agent: I must ask, why ELVIS777?

ELVIS777: Actually, there was a problem, when I first logged in I couldn’t find a unique name to use, all of them seemed to be taken and my partner was playing Elvis songs in the background so I chose ELVIS and 777 because it seemed to be lucky, and it was .

If you are reading this, you are definitely going to experience meeting one of the most deserving 888ladies! Lynne74 picked up £8,888 on Friday and had NOT checked her account since! She did not know that £8,888 was in there waiting for her, she did not know that her fellow 888ladies had wishes many, many congratulations on the 888ladies online bingo fan page on Facebook, she was innocent and clueless about the win, that is until she spoke to…..the Agent.

It had been quite an ordeal to get in touch with lynne74, from East Lothian, Scotland. Nice to see one of our beloved Scottish lassies win the £8,888 for a change! But just 10 minutes ago I did and this is what happened!

Agent: Hello, is that lynne74?

lynne74: Yes…..

Agent: This is Agent008 from 888ladies, how are you?

lynne74: Fine thanks.

Agent008: Do you know why I’m calling?

lynne74: No….

Agent008: Are you sitting down?

lynne74: Yes….

Agent008: You won, eight thousand, eight hund….

lynne74: (interrupted by inaudible screams…then after a few seconds calms down..) How do I know this isn’t a wind up?

Aget008: What do you want to know? I am the Agent, I can tell you anything you want to know.

lynne74: What’s my date of birth?

Agent008: (Agent tells her and is kept secret as lynne74 is a lady. Then Agent reels off lynne’s address…)

lynne74: (Inaudible screams REALLY get going)

Lynne74, through a mixture of ‘Jesus’ and ‘I can’t believe it!’,  starts to calm down.

Agent008: Congratulations!!

lynne74: Thank you, thank you, you don’t what this means to me!!

Agent008: OK, tell me, what does it mean to you?

lynne74: One of my sons is autistic and his dream is to go and swim with the dolphins in Florida, it didn’t look like it would be possible, but now! WOW!

Agent008: Yes! That’s fantastic lynne, so pleased for you!

lynne74: My other wee son who is seven is a real gem with his brother and misses out a lot because of this, so he deserves this so much too. So, if we have won, this is what we are going to do.

Agent008: There is no ‘if’, you HAVE won £8,888! You are going to Florida!

lynne74: (Screams again!) Oh thank you 888ladies, if you were here I would kiss you!!

Agent008: Thank you, but you will have to kiss whoever is there instead!

lynne74: My son is the only one with me.

Agent008: Then kiss him then! LOL!

Agent008: Where have you been? You are hard to get hold of!

lynne74: It’s been mad! I am the secretary of a new autistic charity, we have a big opening tonight, oh I can’t go after this….Oh, I have to, I have organised the raffle!

Agent008: Go, you will have a great time. By the way, how many tickets for the £8,888 did you buy?

lynne74: I maxed out! I always max out, give myself the best chance of winning!

Agent008: Fantastic! Congratulations again! Well done, everyone congratulated you on Facebook already, go and take a look, if you still have any doubts that this is a wind up.

lynne74: No, I don’t but thank you Agent, thank you 888ladies, this means so much to me! I hadn’t won much with you before so I opened account with another site but after this, I am only playing with 888ladies! But I need to go home now and check my account and Facebook, I will be there in 5 minutes, speak to you all online!!

There you go, a roller coaster of emotions and I am sure you would agree, a worthy winner!

Dear 888ladies and 888gents

It appears that you Roomies have been busy!! Trying to make sense of a TERRIBLE, WHAT FELT LIKE AN ETERNITY, 4 DAYS, when the 888ladies Blog was down…..and voting in our great Poll to find out which is the 888ladies’  FAVOURITE Chick Flick!

There were well over 60 roomies who had a guess what in fact happened to the blog and some were scarily close, although the real reason was a bit more boring than, ‘aliens, wild parties, CH Josh…’ etc’

The Best One as judged by me was this effort from Chickebabe, who earned herself 5,000LPs – a fiver’s worth of 888ladies Bingo! The runners up who got 2,000LPs were fitfee65, Sweetbabyroey, poorme, terrigold & tonkay! All you other great roomies got 1,000LPs for your trouble and just a note, it was so hard to choose and took me a long time to choose. (Chickebabe being an Aussie and losing the Ashes this summer, has enough problems so I felt sorry for her… ) Actually, it is a great effort!

I heard there was a secret plan to sabbotage the blog by all the powers to be!!! Too many Lp’s were being given away and there was only one way to stop the agent…. shut down the blog and watch all the 888 ladies and agent sweat. Ahah alas it backfired.. the esteemed agent 008 is has a double life as an IT engineer!!! Yay crow all the 888 ladies, not only did he fix the blog but is giving away extra Lp’s to make up for the lost days  Oh agent 008 you are my hero. lol

The winner of the the poll yesterday for 888ladies’ Favourite Chick Flick got a massive 38% of the 152 votes cast and earned everyone who voted for ‘DIRTY DANCING’, 2,000LPs IF they left their alias with their choice. Everyone else got 1,000LPs simply for voting. The late, talented heart-throb, Patrick Swayze’s films captured almost 60% of the total votes cast, he will be badly missed. RIP.

All the LPs have been credited, so GO and play your favourite bingo games on your favourite site, 888ladies!!!

It is that time again, we had another big £8,888 jackpot winner – lynn53 – and it was my duty, on behalf of the 888ladies Secret Service to interview her!

She had only been with us 11 days when she struck lucky as one of her 5 tickets came up and bolstered her bank account by nearly £9,000! It was like a carbon copy of July winner, carriejay’s win.

Here is what our Yorkshire lass, lynn53 had to say when called by yours truly, the Agent:

Agent: How did you feel?

Lynn53: I was in disbelief, I didn’t know that I’d won until I turned my computer on, on Sunday, and I looked at my balance and it was over £9,000. I said, “Oh my God”. I asked my husband to check it and he said, “Yes, it looks like it but I will believe it when I see it!” But I am withdrawing the thousands out so it is all true!

Agent: What are you going to do with all that money?

Lynn53: Give it to my husband and my sons. One needs to do house repairs and the other wants a new car.

Agent: So nothing for yourself?

Lynn53: Oh yes, I will take a bit but I don’t really need anything at the moment.

Agent: Have you won anything like this before?

Lynn53: I have won on the local bingo up the road a few hundreds now and again but nothing like this!

Agent: Have you got a favourite room, game or CH?

Lynn53: Not really I haven’t really been on all that long but I do like the pattern game, the 75 ball bingo.

Agent: So what do your friends think about your win?

Lynn53: I haven’t told many people but there is a friend of mine from work who is going to join 888ladies!

Agent: What do you like about bingo and have you got any advice for your fellow roomies how to win?

Lynn53: I love the randomness of the game itself and the winning of course. Not really got advice apart from ‘Just take a chance’! I did, I bought 5 tickets, I didn’t think that I was going to win, and I won £8,888! Pays your money, takes your chance!

LadyPenelope was drawn out the raffle at random and picked up the second Bingo Cruise Cabin!! In Ladies First at 1pm, the winner of the Cabin was be announced and now she has to start thinking who she will take with her….

Everyone who joined an excited HappyHourFairy, CM Chica & Agent008 as Fairy revealed the winner were elated for this popular roomie. She wasn’t in there initially BUT chinagirl was on hand with a quick call and got her on there (thank you chinagirl, 5,000LPs for collecting the bounty on this big winner)!

Here is one happy Lady, LadyPenelope that is!!

The 74 roomies who were runners up in the first Bingo Cruise game AND the roomies who sent us the terrific photos of themselves with banners saying, “I am an 888lady” or “I love 888ladies” were in the raffle for this mega prize, a trip of a lifetime to Mexico and a wonderful Bingo Cruise with TommyGnltmn, HappyHourFairy, CM Chica and our first winner, armo, and her guest, nannaofcjnr.
