To Once in Royal Davids City

Once in 888 Ladies,
There I stood a lonely girl,
CH and the roomies all said welcome,
come and give us a whirl.

2 months later, I’m an addict,
Praying to our Fanny Anne,
Hoping that today I’ll be a winner,
Not another “Also ran”.

Dreaming nightly of my tickets,
Playing thru’ Breakfast, Lunch and Tea,
Waiting for those magic numbers
and the words… Jags got the PJP!

The King had found his calling
Everyday he played the game
Regal duties he was stalling

But the good King had only one in mind

But as long as he could see them balls
He really wasn’t caring

So one night he lost a mint
His language it was crassy
The CH got the worst of it

He got the boot, he felt the boot, his bingo was no more
He now cries for his 888’s as his
